has performed in presentations to sold-out audiences at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Chicago's Civic Opera Theater, and Nationaltheater M ünchen.  His recent work has been with Los Angeles Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Los Angeles Master Chorale, California Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Nova in Santa Monica, Intimate Opera Company in Arcadia, Repertory Opera Company in Los Angeles, Bear Valley Music Festival, Classical Singers' Association in Los Angeles.  DeReau enjoys his on-going work as Resident Music Director for Epic Megalopolis Productions and their production of JUNK:A Rock Opera, Assistant Conductor for the Verdi Chorus in Santa Monica, Section Leader for the historic Santa Barbara Choral Society, and member of the internationally-acclaimed Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers of Los Angeles. He is looking forward to his upcoming work with, Orange County's Pacific Chorale, San Diego's brand new Sacra/Profana, and the Los Angeles Choral Artists.

 

DeReau is the Founding Music Director for Selah Gospel Choir in Pasadena and a Teaching Artist with Los Angeles Opera's Education and Outreach programs.  He has recently served as the Artistic Director for Hoshana Gospel Choir in Hollywood, Celebration Arts Minister and director of the a cappella worship team at Pasadena Church of Christ, Section Leader and Cantor at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montrose, Choral Conductor of the Warehouse service of Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, Voice and Choir Teacher for the Harmony Project in Hollywood, and has worked extensively with the choral programs at West Covina High School, Pasadena Waldorf School, Duarte Unified School District, and with Duarte,s award-winning youth gospel choir, Rejoyce.
